How does Liposuction work?

During the liposuction procedure, body fat is removed by first inserting a small, hollow tube called a cannula through one or more tiny incisions near the area to be suctioned.

Incisions are usually extremely small, less than one-quarter inch in length and are made in places where they will be least noticeable such as within the skin folds or contour lines.

The cannula is connected through a tube to a vacuum pressure unit. Guided by our registered plastic surgeon, the suction device then vacuums away your unwanted fat.

What should I expect after liposuction?

You will go home the same day. Some bruising and soreness are expected and is considered normal. However, you can go about a normal daily routine just a few days after liposuction treatment.
