Cost-Effective Dental Implants in Lima |, , , ,

Dental implants in Lima, Peru are a cost-effective way to replace missing teeth. A dental implant in North America can top US$2000 or more, each! …and that’s before you get the abutment and crown on stage two.

Dental implants cost less in Lima because utilities and services are less costly, but that does not mean you are getting an inferior product. Quite the opposite, actually. High-quality dental implants that would cost a fortune in the USA are reasonably priced and very accessible in Lima.

Dental Implants: Stage 1

The placement of dental implants is much simpler than most people think. However, this is a two-stage procedure.

Ideally, you should plan a trip to Lima for a minimum period of three or four days for this initial stage of treatment. Consultation, treatment planning, and dental implant placement all happen on the same appointment. If you choose sedation, this helps you to feel more relaxed and some people even sleep through the process.

However, before the placing the dental implant, the first step is our consultation which includes 3D diagnosis and planning. Our advanced 3D planning allows the surgeon to select the best areas of bone and decide if additional bone would be beneficial with bone grafting. At the same time, he will select the size, angle (positioning), and type of dental implant to be used.

In-clinic 3D imaging allows for immeidate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Placement takes about 30 minutes per implant with the aid of a 3D printed surgical guide.

A surgical guide is a special tool that allows the surgeon to follow the correct trajectory in the placement protocol. Thus, achieving a perfectly precise implant placement as planned by three-dimensional software during the consultation.

Once the implants are placed, you can leave to rest and relax. However, following our post-care instructions and taking the prescribed medication is imperative. Finally, our specialist implantologist will see you a few days later for a check-up and discharge.

Dental Implants: Stage 2

Healing normally takes 3 months for the bone to integrate grow around the threads of each dental implant. This is when it becomes strong and stable. The second stage includes a crown and an abutment. The abutment is used to connect the implant to the crown and hold everything safely in place.

You’ll need to stay just one or two days for this part of the treatment. The abutment and crown are custom designed and made by CEREC 3D CAD-CAM system. This is great because it takes just one appointment and we have full control over the process. We will use reinforced E.Max ceramic or Zirconium to ensure the restoration is very strong and superbly aesthetic.

Possible Risks:

We’ll give you full post-care instructions and a prescription for medication to make sure your treatment is a success. We will also be on call and available for any questions or concerns you might have in the following days.

While all surgical procedures involve some risk, dental implants have an extremely high success rate. This is because integration is a very natural process. Studies show that failures happen in only about 2% of cases, normally due to non-integration and in patients with other health conditions such as diabetes. In the unlikely event that one of your dental implants fail, you have our warranty and we will replace it.

Hello, I am interested in coming to Lima to have 2 dental implants done. I am wondering if you could give me more information such as the doctors name and credentials who would be best suited for doing this procedure. Also name and location of the facility (clinic) where work would be done, pricing, and anything else you feel I should know about the process.
    Thank you!

I’ve just read that you need a two-stage procedure for teeth implants, having the second stage after 3 months… Did I understand correctly ??
I am attaching an Ad which shows only one day for the two stages … is that a new technology….would it be more expensive than your two stage procedure????

Hello Luis. Yes, normally it is a two-stage procedure. However, in some circumstances, yes, dental implants can be completed in just one session – including the placement of the implant body, abutment and crowns/denture. However, the bone must be in optimal condition for this procedure. We will email you some additional information today.

Hello. I am looking for a dental implant for a lower permanent tooth for my 18 year old son. He was born without a permanent tooth. The baby tooth is still intact. We currently live in Lima. What is the estimated cost? Thank you.

    April 6, 2019 Good morning,
I am expecting my crown to fall out soon. It was re-cemented over a year ago but I had it put back again for the second time. It has only been two weeks and will probably fall out. I’ve been told that there is not enough tooth to adhere to the post and the tooth has some decay. No possibility of a bridge. I am interested in having the in implant done in Lima. Will I need to have a flipper made here in Melbourne, Florida ($500) to conceal the missing crown, tooth #6, and have the extraction before traveling to Lima? Or will you do the preparatory, extraction and surgery and flipper in Lima so that I don’t have any expenses where I live? The tooth is in the upper front and I will need the gap to be concealed. The other option is to have the extraction and flipper done here and then travel to Lima for the surgery later on.
    Thank you for the consideration,
    Pat Tenore

Hello Pat! You have some good questions 🙂
Actually, most of our treatments consist of extraction, implant placement and temporary tooth all together on one trip to Lima. This way, you can eliminate the cost of treatments back home. We can do this because of the integration of 3D technology that we use. I’ll email you more details today. Cheers!

Yes, absolutely you can do stage one here in Lima and complete treatment in Australia. In case your bone is in optimal condition, perhaps we can do the whole procedure in a short time frame. I will write to you by email with more information. Thanks!!
