The number of foreigners traveling to Peru to access private health care is sharply increasing. This is due to the many first class services and facilities available, which have internationally recognized medical teams and extremely competitive prices in comparison with those of other countries.

For example, in the USA, post-operative hospitalization costs approximately $1500 a night, whereas in Peru it can cost only $200.

High-demand treatments in Peru include plastic surgery, especially liposculpture and facial rejuvenation which cost approximately $4000 or $5000, dentistry costing about $2500 or $3000 for comprehensive treatment, fertility treatment costing between $6000 and $7000 and ophthalmology which costs about $5000 or $6000.
